Chinese college students use "grass" to purify the air!
Peng Xu, a sophomore student at Changsha Civil Affairs Vocational and Technical College in China, came up with the idea of using traditional Chinese medicine herbs to purify the air.
This group of college students comes from Changsha Civil Affairs Vocational and Technical College in China. They were deeply inspired by traditional Chinese medicine and attempted to apply these ancient herbaceous plants to modern air purification technology. After a long period of research and experimentation, they successfully selected several traditional Chinese medicine herbs with efficient air purification capabilities.
This research achievement not only has important environmental significance, but also brings new development directions for the field of air purification. Compared to traditional air purification methods, this purification device based on traditional Chinese herbal plants has lower cost, higher efficiency, and better environmental performance.
The use of air purifiers also helps improve indoor air quality, reduce allergens in indoor air, and thus help alleviate allergic symptoms. For people with allergic rhinitis, asthma, and other allergic reactions, using an air purifier can significantly improve their quality of life. Air purifiers can also remove bacteria and viruses from the air, thereby reducing the spread of infectious diseases. During the flu season or virus outbreak, using an air purifier can help prevent the spread of pathogens in indoor air and protect family and colleagues from disease.
The main sources of air pollution can be divided into natural sources and anthropogenic sources. Natural sources mainly include volcanic eruptions, forest fires, natural dust, etc. However, anthropogenic sources dominate, including industrial production, transportation, agricultural activities, energy consumption, and so on. These activities emit a large amount of exhaust gas, smoke, particulate matter, etc., directly leading to the deterioration of air quality.
